Horseback Riding

The hillsides, valleys, beaches, and rainforests of Punta Mita have long been the riding ground of cowboys and equestrian enthusiasts alike. Take a trip through one of Punta Mita’s hidden tropical treasures. There are many daily tours available offering a selection of horseback riding adventures suitable for all.

If you want to experience the jungles of Puerto Vallarta and the Sierra Madre on horseback, we offer a full range of horseback riding tours in Puerto Vallarta, from waterfalls to rivers to sunset horseback riding tours. These are healthy, well-cared for, well-trained horses – not like the small, skinny ones you’ll find at Yelapa or Quimixto. A great cruise shore excursion or part of your vacation in Puerto Vallarta.

Puerto Vallarta Horseback Riding FAQs

Q: I’VE NEVER BEEN HORSEBACK RIDING – CAN I STILL DO THESE TOURS?
A: Yes. These tours are suitable for beginners.

Q: WHAT SHOULD I BRING WHEN GOING HORSEBACK RIDING IN PUERTO VALLARTA?
A: Make sure to bring sunblock, even if it is raining when you leave – the rains are short-lived and normally followed by bright sunshine. You will want long pants – sounds hot, but they’ll protect your legs from rubbing on the horse and the stirrups. You’ll be a lot more comfortable. Insect repellent is also suggested, along with good shoes that you don’t mind getting wet (there are river crossings) and a swimsuit to swim in the waterfalls if you choose that tour. And of course, most importantly, don’t forget your camera.
